Q: How must I configure the ARSWIN with a PCI LPT Card?

A: Since the new release available on January/2005, it's possible to use a PCI LPT Card. There are 2 files that you must replace with the new release:

  • RCITOOL4.DLL that will replace the old RCITOOL3.DLL that allows to dialogue with the PCI LPT Card.
  • ARSWIN.EXE located at your arswin folder, that now supports those new exchanged I/O Address.

Replacing those 2 files, you will be able to use now PCI LPT Cards. It has been tested with the following models:

  • ByteRunner (I/O=DC50)
  • Netmos  (I/O=D400)

The ARSWIN doesn't use a IRQ! Just only a direct Input/Output directly to the PCI Card address, so you must enter the low range of your PCI card.
